Magnesium-aluminum spinel brick, also known as periclase spinel brick, is a high-quality refractory material made of magnesia and magnesium-aluminum spinel as the main raw materials. It is widely used in various high-temperature industrial kilns due to its excellent thermal shock resistance and resistance to chemical erosion.
Magnesium-aluminum spinel brick can be divided into two categories: magnesia-rich spinel brick and aluminum-rich spinel brick. The former has a high melting point and excellent thermal shock resistance, while the latter has good chemical stability.
The main technical parameters of magnesium-aluminum spinel brick are bulk density, apparent porosity, compressive strength, and thermal shock resistance. The bulk density is generally between 2.90-3.20g/cm³, the apparent porosity is below 18%, and the compressive strength is above 100MPa. The thermal shock resistance can withstand more than 15 times of rapid heating and cooling cycle.
The production process of magnesium-aluminum spinel brick includes batching, mixing, molding, drying, firing, and inspection. The raw materials are first crushed and mixed in a certain proportion, and then molded into various shapes according to different needs. After drying, the bricks are fired in a high-temperature kiln at 1600-1700℃ for several days. Finally, the bricks are checked for quality and packaged.
Magnesium-aluminum spinel brick plays an important role in high-temperature industrial kilns, such as cement kilns, glass kilns, and steel ladle linings. With the development of technology, the performance of magnesium-aluminum spinel brick is constantly improved, leading to its wider application in various industries.
